Common Beginner Mistakes in War of Genesis
Starting your journey in War of Genesis can be overwhelming with its various systems, such as gear enhancement, relic fragments, and character archetypes. Many new players accidentally handicap their long-term growth by prioritizing the wrong activities. By understanding these frequent pitfalls, you can optimize your time and ensure your account remains competitive without unnecessary setbacks.
The Farming Trap: Pushing vs. Efficiency
A major mistake beginners make is obsessively trying to push to the hardest stage available. If your character takes too long to clear a level, your gold and loot-per-minute efficiency drops significantly.
According to player experience, if you find your character struggling or dying, it is far more efficient to drop back a few stages. Use the "retry" function on a level you can blast through quickly. This ensures a steady, high-volume influx of XP and gold, which is far more beneficial for long-term progression than being stuck on a difficult level where you gain almost nothing.
Mismanaging the Blacksmith
The Blacksmith is central to your power progression, but beginners often choose the wrong options. Many players mistakenly use the "dismantle" function early on, thinking the immediate gold gain is helpful. However, dismantling should generally be avoided.
Instead, prioritize the "combine" feature. When you combine items, you aren't just creating a higher-tier piece of gear; you are also earning additional experience and gold. This creates a core gameplay loop: fill your inventory, use the auto-register feature to select your gear, and combine it to climb the tiers. This method is the only way to effectively progress your relic fragments, which are vital for enhancing equipment relics.
Ignoring Account-Wide Bonuses
Another common oversight is neglecting character archetypes other than the one you are currently playing. Whether you choose the Knight, Ranger, or Wizard, every character has "owned effects" that contribute to your overall account progression.
Even if you have no intention of actively playing a specific class, you should still unlock all characters within that archetype. Investing your gold to purchase and unlock these characters provides bonus stats that persist across your account. Failing to do this early on means leaving "free" power on the table that makes high-level content much easier to tackle.
